Users and roles
Access is invite-only. Each person belongs to a customer workspace with a role that controls what they can see and change.
Who can invite
Section titled “Who can invite”Workspace admins (and StoreScout platform operators, when supporting you) manage users. If you cannot see user management, ask your workspace owner.
Typical roles
Section titled “Typical roles”Labels in the product may include variants, but conceptually:
| Role pattern | Usually can | Usually cannot |
|---|---|---|
| Viewer | Browse entitled stores and exports they are allowed to open | Invite users, change billing-sensitive settings |
| Member / operator | Day-to-day store work, lists, exports as permitted | Full admin configuration |
| Admin / owner | Users, integrations, workspace settings | Platform-only diagnostics |
Always trust the in-app role label and disabled controls over this summary.
Invite flow (admin)
Section titled “Invite flow (admin)”- Open team / users / admin user management (path varies).
- Invite by work email.
- Choose a role that matches least privilege.
- Confirm the user receives the invite and can sign in.
Good practice
Section titled “Good practice”- Prefer company email domains your organisation controls.
- Remove access promptly when someone leaves.
- Keep at least two admins so one absence does not lock the workspace.
- Do not share passwords; each person should have their own login.
