Your first 15 minutes
Use this path the first time you land in StoreScout after sign-in.
1. Orient (2 minutes)
Section titled “1. Orient (2 minutes)”- Confirm you are in the workspace (authenticated app), not the public website.
- Scan the left or top navigation for Stores, jobs/runs (if shown), team/settings, and integrations.
- Note any demo or pilot banner — demo data is for learning; do not treat it as live customer truth.
2. Open Stores (3 minutes)
Section titled “2. Open Stores (3 minutes)”- Go to Stores.
- You should see a list of entitled stores and, where enabled, a map.
- Try a simple search (place name, chain, or postcode area your team uses).
If the list is empty, jump to Empty results or map issues.
3. Filter to a useful set (4 minutes)
Section titled “3. Filter to a useful set (4 minutes)”- Apply one or two filters your team cares about (for example chain, area, or priority band as shown in the UI).
- Toggle between list and map if both are present — they should stay in sync for the same filter set.
- Save or remember the view if the product offers saved views (labels vary by release).
Details: Filters and views and Map and list together.
4. Open one store (4 minutes)
Section titled “4. Open one store (4 minutes)”- Click a store row or map marker.
- Review the profile: identity, location, and evidence sections available to you.
- Note any actions such as refresh, assign, list add, or RVM assessment — only use what your role allows.
Details: Store profile and evidence.
5. Know how export works (2 minutes)
Section titled “5. Know how export works (2 minutes)”Do not export real buyer lists until your process says so. For learning:
- Find Export on the stores workspace (or export from a list, if that is how your workspace is set up).
- Read any on-screen warnings about scope and entitlements.
- Prefer a small selection for your first test export.
Details: Export safely.
Done when
Section titled “Done when”- You can find a store without help.
- You understand that priority is a guide for attention, not a legal determination.
- You know who in your team manages users and credits.
