Filters and views
Filters turn a large entitled territory into a working set you can actually action.
Common filter ideas
Section titled “Common filter ideas”Exact control names depend on your release. Typical dimensions:
- Geography (region, place, postcode area)
- Chain / fascia
- Priority band or similar attention signal
- Workflow state (for example unassigned, shortlisted)
- Evidence or data-quality hints when shown
How to filter well
Section titled “How to filter well”- Start with geography so the map stays meaningful.
- Add chain or category only if your campaign needs it.
- Use priority to order attention — treat it as a guide, not a final commercial decision.
- Clear filters when switching campaigns so you do not accidentally export the wrong set.
Saved views
Section titled “Saved views”If your workspace supports saved views or remembered filter sets:
- Name them after the campaign (“Leeds independents — week 12”).
- Prefer shared team names over personal nicknames when others will export from the same view.
- Re-check filters before any buyer-facing export.
Filters vs search
Section titled “Filters vs search”| Search | Filters |
|---|---|
| Quick jump to a known name | Systematic cut of the whole entitled set |
| Good for “find this store” | Good for “build this week’s list” |
Use both: search to inspect, filters to build.
